Yes, this is yet another apple recipe (don’t worry, more variety is soon to come!), but trust me, this is something worth trying. I’d say this dessert is a cross between an apple cobbler and an apple pie. I decided on classifying it as a pie due to its shape and overall texture, and either way this is simply a delicious treat. If you have any browning apples (or fresh ones for that matter), they can easily be cooked in this Apple Crumble Pie and served with a large scoop of ice cream!

Crust
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup oats
- ¾ cup butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon salt
Filling
- 4-5 apples
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Instructions
- 1. Peel, core, and cut the apples into bite-sized chunks. Place in a bowl, mix with cornstarch, sugar, cinnamon, and butter.
- 2. Preheat the oven to 350F. Make crust by combining flour, oats, sugar, butter, and salt. Set aside one cup to cover the top of the pie, use the rest as crust, pressing it into the mold of your pie tin.
- 3. Place apples on top of crust, and crumble the extra cup of crust on top of the pie. Bake in the oven for about 35-45 minutes. Let cool for about 20 minutes before you cut it.
